Research Integrity at the Organisation

The European Organisation for Strategic Policy regards research integrity as the foundation of institutional credibility. Our work must be independent in judgement, rigorous in method, responsible in publication and transparent about the evidence on which it relies.

“Credibility begins with the integrity of the research.”

Our Standards Framework

01

Independent Judgement

Research priorities, analysis and conclusions must be protected from improper political, financial, commercial or ideological influence.

02

Evidence and Source Integrity

Research must be grounded in credible, relevant and appropriately verified sources.

03

Analytical Rigour

Conclusions should reflect the strength of the available evidence and distinguish fact, inference and forward-looking assessment.

04

Review and Quality Assurance

Work intended for publication must undergo review proportionate to its format, complexity and sensitivity.

05

Conflicts of Interest

Any interest capable of influencing research, judgement or publication must be identified and managed appropriately.

06

Responsible Publication

Publication requires consideration of accuracy, public value, proportionality and foreseeable consequences.

07

Corrections and Updates

Material errors should be corrected clearly and published work updated when new evidence materially affects its findings.

Independence and Institutional Responsibility

Independence protects analytical judgement; responsibility ensures that judgement is exercised with discipline, fairness and respect for evidence.

Corrections Are Part of Integrity

Research integrity continues after publication. Material errors should be corrected clearly and without unnecessary delay.

Our Commitment to the Public

The European Organisation for Strategic Policy does not ask the public to accept its conclusions on institutional authority alone. The Organisation must earn its credibility through the quality of its evidence, the clarity of its reasoning and its willingness to correct the published record.
